tempted by 560 sec - help!

do I need my head examining? vvv happy with e200/w210 (1998), but have been offered chance of a 560 sec (1986ish), totally refurbed (circa £6,000 spent), garaged etc. could keep it just for occasional runabout, or swap e200 for 560 & use it to do my meagre 12k pa. any advice? wish life were simpler!

Dont do it! Even on low milage usage unless its a tip top example which will proberly set you back 12-14 grand. Cheap examples will be only good on the surface with corrosion esp around the rear screen, drainage channels etc.

The word refurbished is hard to define, what was done ? if it was body work how bad was it, How good a job was done from ground up, are we talking about rust or dents. If it were me I would only buy if I could see it before.
