Test drive

Booked up a test drive over a month ago from my local MB dealer and still waiting for a phone call to say they'v got the vehicle which i requested to drive.Ithought in today's climate they would be going the extra yard or is this the norm.I would'nt mind but they have already let me down on two dates saying they are having trouble getting hold of a car.

Pretty much the norm but then again it can vary from dealer to dealer.... some want to work hard to make the sale and others think that everyone is just wasting time

I'd ring the dealership, speak to the sales manager and ask him if he'd be kind enough to cancel your test drive request. Should have the desired effect..... (salesman kicked up the backside). I reckon you'll have a car on your drive within the day.
Last time I bought I had one guy spend half a day on me, drove 40miles to my house with a car, 1 hour test drive, initial negotiations in my lounge, pushed him on price - as you do, promised to call me the next day once he'd spoken to his manager - still waiting...

That trick usualy works......some of them still couldnt care as they know there are people out there who would still want to buy a new MB.....

It was the salesman loss,i bought two cars one of them brand new with in 7 months!!, i wounder if he changes his attitude if i go back again,but then again i will not deal with him

Why should we give them our money when they dont care about looking after their customers

The salesman said the car i wanted to test is'nt very common but he had manage to locate one from the chelsea branch but the chelsea MB dealers was'nt to obliging when loaning the car out.And his manager was know involved with the problem ,but like i said that was a month ago.

I was very impressed by MB in Salisbury - and will probably buy my next car from them. I was looking at 2nd hand E320CDI and new E class, even though the estate is not out until next year. Salesman was very helful, offered me a drive in an E-Class saloon, went for a drive in the second hand estate. Was told be the salesman to take it out for a good long drive and he would see me back in a couple of hours (On a second hand car!).

I didn't buy the car from them because it didn't have 7 seats and I found one (same mileage much lower spec) for considerably less money which met my requirements better. However great response from MB Salisbury
