I have this is a great club from a few friends that are Mercedes owners. I look forward to being part of this group. I wondered if someone could give me some advice with regards to a leaking roof ? My Sl R230 has a leak on the passenger side near the top of the “C” pillar. It then drips down by the rear storage box and gets the carpet wet. Most of the threads I can find refer to water ingress into the boot. Thankfully I don’t have this. The photo (apologies for the poor angle) shows where the top of the c pillar joins the flat part of the roof. There is a little flap that extends from the part attached to the roof where the water is coming in from. Any advice would be really appreciated

Water leaks now are part of the R230 and excepted as part of the cars charm
The roof itself plays a part in the leaks around the C pillar and also the interior trim on the rear C pillar, although this isn't an adjustment like the roof.
There is a type of sticky tape on the inside of the rear pillar that dries out and separates from the steel which causes water to leak under the tape and into the rear cabinets behind the seats.
My r230 is the same and I will tackle this job once my garage has been finished.
Also as mentioned above there is a very comprehensive how to do the water leaks for the boot.
