Hi,
Took my C43 AMG to Olly today to have my auto gearbox filter and fluid changed, what a difference so much smoother and quieter too.
I shall definitely be taking the AMG for a 'B' Service with Olly when its due in 4,000 miles or so.
It was so nice to meet a mechanic that so openly shares his knowledge, and a nice chap to boot.
I can thoroughly recommend his services to other forum members.

what kind of price did that cost i was quoted over 500 pounds to change the transmission fluid on my clk 230k surely thats not right is it

Olly charged me a 'lot' less than that and used genuine parts and transmission fluid.

Re-check - the main dealer only charged me around £200 to do the 270!

Thats far from right should be under £200 an indie takes £125-£140

MB of Chesterfield quoted £120 for trans fluid/filter change on E220/211(53 reg)but combined it with service D and b/fluid change,did deal with service manager and the whole package came to £400 including new air filter,had it done 28 Dec,mind i do like a good barter(till i get on their nerves probably!).

That was good, maybe not enough of us do this, and when they say that will be £5783 we just say thank you.

Thanks Malcolm,sometimes it does seem too good!but when all documentation for work done is there by main MB dealer i feel my haggling well deserved.

Mine was the CL coupe that passed you on the way in - mine had also been with Oliver for a service and checkover and was extremely happy with the service.

Thanks - the C43 is a bit of a weapon though and nice and understated! Had a nice burble to it as you pulled away. A bit easier to move around than the supertanker that I pilot! *grin*
