The old girl has been ploughing up and down the M62 all winter and with all the grime and salt, she wasn't looking her best. So, out with the claybar and Carnuba. All better now.

I've yet to try claying. I have purchased a Meguiar's kit with 2 x 20g bars(?) and lubricant spray.

How easy is this to do? I've only jusy applied wax for the first time this w/e..

It really is easy, small areas at a time and keep the bar lubricated if not it will 'drag'

After claying say a door wash it off with clean water then proceed to the next area/panel. When I did mine for the first time I did it in stages, a lot easier on the arm also check the clay from time to time as you will be picking up small particles so fold it over a time or two so as not to do any damage.

Check out this http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk for articles on Claying plus a host of other stuff.

enjoy, it is very relaxing as well as satisfying

when you first start with the clay it sounds like you're sanding but its very satisfying as it quietens down to a smooth squeak and you know all the muck has been dragged out. Its really very easy. Then finish off with the wax and you get a nice smooth finish.
