Hi all

Has anyone had any experience with replacing the little 'button' that is at the front of the sliding armrest on an R129 SL?

It is snapped at the rear and while you can insert it back into its slot and allow the armrest to move back and forward, it will not stay there.

Looks like I would have to take a fair bit of the box and lid to replace it so thought would ask on here before biting the bullet.

Many thanks in advance

Hi guys

Thanks for that - the chap onthe other forum said that it was a whole unit (and that it was common for them to break) but as Malcolm points out, it appears to be a standalone part.

That said, you never know what the design rationale was.

The other chap has offered the whole unit for a good price so I propose to look at taking the thing apart and keeping photos then seeing if it would be worth posting up in a 'how to' thread.

Many thanks
