I only ever had one key for my car and last week it failed. When I opened it it was a detached coil that was the problem.
Mercedes wanted £280 for a new one which I was prepared to spend...but they needed the car for identity purposes...on a low loader. This could have doubled the cost.
So, I did a little research, found the master locksmith. I sent my key off last Thursday and it arrived back today, fully operational with new batteries and a case .
The best bit...including first class recorded delivery...just under £50!!
