The New BMW 1 Series Coupe...Is this the ugliest car ever made?

Never been much of a fan of the new shape BMW's (Although the 5 series has grown on me) but this one takes the biscuit IMO. Is it the ugliest car ever? You make your own mind up.

Could be, though the 1 series is a car I've never really understood. It fails my test on looks, packaging, price and equipment BUT, it is a superb drive. When they came out I was convinced they wouldn't sell. I was wrong - people do aspire to own a BMW - even one as fugly as this...........

Not exactly E/C class pretty. However, the 3 old series compact was an ugly pointless car but it didn't stop people buying them.
I'd always promised the wife a BM when we could afford it. The day finally came and we walked into the showroom, took one look at the compact and promptly bought an Audi A3! All the bits, from the dash to the bonnet were just too big for it. To me, the 1 series seems to suffer from the same odd proportions. The bonnet is too long for the body. Fine for that retro look I guess, but as a shopping trolley, it just means less cabin space and harder to park.

The side view is particularly ugly. It looks like someone has crashed into it and put a huge dent along the side

BMW have'nt produced a genuinely handsome car since they got 'Bangled' though as stated this is a general trend, Audis are getting ever fatter and lumpier (in all the wrong places) - whatever happened to a lowish waistline?

The ugliest car ever made is a bangled 5 series on titchy wheels.

Second ugliest is the X3

I'd put this one in third place just ahead of the Z3 and 7 series.

The ugliest thing/car ever made was the original SSyong Musso 4x4 what a hideous piece of s**t that was:twisted: :twisted: Every time I saw one I would throw up!! The car was so 'orrible that I can't be bothered to check if I have spelt it right???????.......then there is the new CLS oh dear me!!!!!! We have already covered that one though.

Problem with BM's is the "Kings New Clothes" sysdrome.....whatever they do, it must be right. And the magazines are guilty of sucking up to BM as well....maybe they got the journalists laid?

Anyway, it's not fooling me, but it appears to be fooling a lot of people.

I have to state here that I think the newish shape A-Class is a work of art, so that should give you some perspective on my opinions...

You should have seen the one we modded at work some years back.... if you think the Musso was ugly then this was ugly with leprosy...

This one was all black with jet black windows and covered in odd shapes... again all in black
