Thermostat

Hi all haven't been on for a while what would anyone recommend as in make for a new thermostat apart from main dealer.
It's a E class w212 auto deisel.

I went to ecp for my thermostat, works well and had no problems with it, and that's saying something as it was for 'The Money Pit' it is an s211 though I'm sure ecp should have the one for your model?

As it’s a 212 I’d stick with original from the dealers as it communicates with the ECU for fuelling purposes

ECP have eveything for every model apparently.
If its right and fits is another question.

Main dealer every time for me. I've had enough of changing thermostats twice.

I just bought a Mahle part for my S211, £25 delivered from ebay. Cheaper than that odd brand one from ECP.

Mahle is a quality brand, also from Stuttgart.

for the cost difference of a MB stat and a n other, -against the vaule of the car and the known issues with second source parts I just stick to MB parts.

Go to the parts desk and ask for discount.
