Big loss of power today, hardly any boost whatsoever - the car couldn't even do 85 uphill on the motorway.

I swapped the two little vacuum 'actuator's? that control the turbo and the EGR - and its back to normal (they're identical).

Life can't be that easy, can it? I suppose I could swap them back and see if the fault reappears, but I have a marathon drive tomorrow so I don't want to risk it.

hey parrot

you prob know the answer to this already...but....

i have run my 220 cdi with the vac device to the egr blanked off.
it didn't make a whole lot of difference.
so if we're thinking about the same bit then it would be a good guess that you had a faulty one of these units to yer turbo.

Well I did over 400 miles today and the turbo worked perfectly. Makes you think.

I'll swap it back and see what happens.
