Throttle pedal

My clk 270cdi has faulty throttle
I have clk 320 petrol pedal Question can I use petrol one on clk270 pedals are exactly same difference is part number

I have never seen a faulty pedal.
Diagnostic fault was faulty throttle pedal
Car does not accelerate some times does but cuts off
First miles ok then fails Also kick down works ok and dies too Diagnostic fault was pedal ?

Try it, if it doesn't work swap your old one back. ;)
I’m getting pedal tomorrow I will try it’s easy job anyway Also if works pedal is only 15 pounds

well you could check are they 'replaced by' part numbers... it shouldn't be engine related anyway. Same pedal in few chassis.

I have never seen a faulty pedal.

I have, mine W211 had broken one. Drove fine but occasional EML. SDS gave a fault code. I also fixed it by 2nd hand part.

I hate to disagree, but I have had 2 faulty throttle pedals on my W164 420 CDI with. +/- 5yr gap between them.

In both cases it manifested as a high idle speed +-/1200rpm. If I put my foot under the pedal and lift slightly the idle settles back down to a normal 700rpm. Nothing to service in the pedal, either put up with it or buy a new one.
