Throttle peddle movement

The throttle peddle movement is a bit stiff and there seems to be quite a lot of movement before anything happens, no problem if you want a quick getaway, but it creates quite a time lag if you want a smooth slow acceleration. Is there any adjustment I can do.

Look under the bonnet near the firewall, on the left side you'll see the cable. Theres a sprung mechanism there - check its working correctly.

Just popped out and had a look, is it that white round plastic thingy that the bowden cable comes out of. It’s funny but I automatically assumed that with all the wizardry on these cars that it would be electronic.

Its electronic on mine, just the linkage between the pedal and the potentiometer is mechanical.

If the cable is taut under the bonnet, and revs freely when you move it there, the problem is either with the pedal or the cable.
