thud

hi all
this is my first post
getting a thud when lifting off throttle
i think it is from the drive shaft ?
any help

What are your core competencies with respect to car mechanics?
If you have the ability to raise the car onto axle stands or ramps then pls have a crawl around underneath to check out the donuts on the drive shaft.

Hello and welcome.

The way to check it, put car into park on level ground and jack one side up.
By turning the rear jacked wheel clockwise and anti clockwise you will see how much play you have in the propshaft, universal joints,differencial and half shafts.
if you have a U/J in the propshaft you can also see if it moves around with any free play.
It could be just one thing or a combination of several things.
