Ticky tocky M157

So, ticking noise, mostly at idle, drivers side (UK) rear of engine. Pretty sure that's the high pressure fuel pump. (It isn't a sticky lifter)
Anybody any suggestions. Will a new pump be any better or is this just a design issue?
