Possibly has, I have thought about what route she would have taken 63 years ago

Like our Dizzy Lizzy she's been around ;)

In Sweden I put the original Irish cast alli plates on for that show day but the white front plate was the Swedish one for normal use over there

A tub of wax costs around £35.00, then there is the glaze £15.00, the microfibre clothes £5.00 each and you will require about 6 to complete the car although they are machine washable, tyre gel £9.00, if you are really keen then a rotary polisher at £200-£300, pads £8.00 each....the list goes on

I took Tilly to see a mate today, he is a top class spray painter and when he saw the finish on her he could not believe it. He thought the paint had silver through it and it looked wet. I had to explain about the glaze I used before waxing and how it brings out the colour and leaves an extraordinary sheen to it.

A diesel
Looking at the spec sheet, all measurements are in imperial, including the 113/4 gallon fuel tank and 17" easycleen ;) wheels, except...the engine capacity, which is in metric.

How strange.

Time to titivate Tilly

If the weather holds out today (Sunday) I'm off to Thirlestane Castle by Lauder to a classic rally so it's time to lavish a little care and attention on the old girl to have her looking her best. First job however was to change the oil and filter and fill her up with Penrite's finest HPR 30

The paintwork wasn't requiring and marks polished out so all that I did was give her a coat of wax

Breathtaking John - but I have to advise readers that, having seen Tilly in the flesh, she is even more impressive!

Have a great day out.

Can't beat giving the old girl an Ozzy wax Alex ;)
Definition of Ozzy Wax, same as a British Wax except down under

Steps aside and awaits Lizzy's answer
