Time to change the timing chain?

Anybody suggest when I should think about changing the timing chain on my W202 (99) C220 cdi? Its got 136K of motorway miles on it now and had it been a belt I would have changed it twice in this time!

You change it when it starts to rattle at idle or on start up, you will know when it is time to change it.

Yes when it is time to change it, it always sounds louder when parked in a garage or near buildings.
