Either take it back to the bloke who did the work or else to someone who knows what they're doing and get it checked out. It looks like it hasn't been timed correctly.

The M271 engine is renowned for this. Normally starts with the cam chain tensioner.

Unfortunately, the mechanic has closed his shop, and the job cost me more money, now the chain follows the correct route, and the cae still misfire. I have been told now that the valves are bent

The 271 engine has a known weakness with the cam sprockets - they're made from metal with as much resistance to wear as Brie.
Commonly they wear and the chain jumps teeth. The chain can also stretch (simplex chain).
If the chain stretches the tensioner can get to the point it can't maintain tension.
If the chain jumps pistons and valves contact and the valve almost always loses.
A compression test will soon tell you.

If a valve is bent the head needs to be removed to change valve(s).

Thanks, I thought so as well, but when I opened the timing chain, it was still in place, however the wrong place as I found to my disgust later, you will understand when you open this picture, and I had gone to Mosselbay, from Johannesburg, and back, then to Port Shepstone and back like that. Came home from a friends place upp the road and slowly as well, when it cut out, It however started again and brought me home. But how's that for a professional Mechanic
