I'm looking at buying a more recent CD-ROM for my COMAND system in my 2003 C270.
I've found the correct system (DX) and note that there are two versions of the disc - one with TMC and one without TMC. There is a price differential of £40-£50 between the two.
Two questions:
1 - would the TMC disc work with my car (the TMC features are greyed out at the moment, not sure whether that's to do with the disc or the system)?
2 - what are the benefits of the TMC system, and are they worth the price differential (the vast majority of my driving is not on sat nav, but I have found it very useful on longer journies, or when heading somewhere unfamiliar).
