TMC Codes

Tele Atlas offers a United Kingdom + Ireland 2004/2005 DX TMC CD for the Comand Sat Nav system.

The sales brochure for the cd reads "The CD contains data (TMC codes) for Great Britain provided by ITIS. This data is broadcast by Classic FM and can be used by applicable navigation systems to calculate dynamic routes while at the same time taking into account the current traffic situation on motorways"

Does this work in the UK with the comand at the moment? I read somewhere that MB do not support TMC codes at the moment, is this correct?

Hi
I guess U have an MB Comand unit. Providing your unit is DX then yes the teleatlas TMC disc will work. I have one of these discs and it's not upto much. It will only give you Motorway traffic and cannot read A road traffic reports. So in a nutshell its ok for seeing that your going into traffic and where it ends but is no good for taking you around the hold up.
