Hi everyone :) I'm about to replace rear rotors and brake pads on my w204. In WIS I read not to lube with any kind of paste the brake pads, but I ask you to be sure (I see people doing different things): is it possible that everything has to be dry? In the ATE instructions of the pads I bought, it's illustrated to lube with ATE plastilube the caliper bracket seat for the pads.
Any advice is well accepted. Thank you for help :)

I always use a little lube on the pad seat area. Sparingly though. Don’t put anything between the disc and the hub. Clean the hub thoroughly too

I don’t recommend going in dry, a little lube stops the squealing…

Hi, is it normal that the new spring is so far from the brake pad? Is it mounted correctly? Thank you

That’s fine. It isn’t supposed to touch the pad.
