A quantity control valve replacement on a 651 engined vito.
This car came from another garage that replaced the fuel rail and no 1 injector, to try and cure a rough idle.
After an hours diag, it was quite clear the rail pressure was all over the place when the pressure control method was "quantity control valve". A quick directed test concluded the valve was faulty.
Cooler off and a few bits off to remove to get to it, customer is happy and is now trying to claim back the £1000+ worth of uneeded work carried out.
