Took the Plunge

Hi Haven't been posting for a while although I keep an eye on what's happening.
After 18 months of problem free ownership with my 320CDI I took the plunge and bought a nearly new E55 last week. All I can say is wow what a motor. This has to be the finest piece of engineering on the road. I think it will be a while before the smile wears off, each time I press the pedal it widens!
Only downside is I will miss the 40mpg from the Diesel. Having said that so far I am averaging 23mpg which I think is good for this type of motor.

Good for you Glyn. I love an engine that has effortless torque and in a comfortable chassis too. May have to get some gunk tomorrow to get the green tinge off me clock! Hope you have good luck with the motor and baby it in case i can afford it when you replace. Brian
