After searching every corner of the country Antrim, Mayo, Dublin, Cork(rang me when I was180mls down the road to tell me he had a higher offer, I didn't fall for it and turned back home) and Wexford. Diesal estates are rare over here.
Viewed one yesterday that ticked all the boxes, 1999 -not to new to attract attension when parked on the street,88k mls, 250Td estate for veggie oil, c-class for economy, auto for those long trips and elegance for a bit of comfort. Lump of rust on the top of the passenger door should I tackle it myself?
If I bought it in England and it was £4000=6000 euro +import tax 33%=8000euro, which is what he wanted.
It was a private sale, the car history checks out, talked to the mechanic who serviced it last month (for what that was worth he said it was good) so I gave him 500 deposit.
I just got tired looking.
Havnt told the missus yet!
