torque convertor refill ?

if you replace a torque convertor , should you prefill it before refitting ? some dont have drain plugs so do those ones auto fill once the pump is running ?

I would fit it dry to avoid spills and mess (plus extra weight) but I don't imagine it would make a difference - personal choice. Fill your box with the required amount of ATF and the pump will fill the TC and pretty quickly too!

It’s fine to fit it dry. You’ll make a hell of a mess if you try to fill it first.
