Hi
New here and would appreciate any advice.
My e200 Mercedes Petrol car starts to rev really high when driving (ie. not gearing up automatically). The gears also get stuck ie. when trying to go from Drive to Park gets stuck in Neutral. I have to switch the engine off and then place in park.
Also 'jolts' forward when first changing gears from park to drive.
Initially was told it could be the gear box oil as it hadn't been changed for a while.
I did a full gear box oil change including gasket and filter etc. .... twice (as was told first change the oil was very dirty).
This didn't fix it and then told (from error codes) that it could be the conductor plate. I've had that replaced but I am now getting the error "The internal electrical check of component VP457 (Torque convertor lockup PWM solenoid valve) has failed.
After researching suggestions are that it is the Y3/6y6 is a PWM solenoid valve.
There are 6 solenoid valves (that sit inside the conductor plate) in total so unsure which the above one is. Also have spent a fair bit on the above so would appreciate any direction from anyone before buying more parts which may or may not fix the problem.
TIA
