Total Brake Failure

can anyone help please.while driving along today i pressed the brakes but the pedal did not move at all.and when i took my keys out the engine did not stop.i had to use the fuel cutoff in the engine to stop it.any ideas any one.thanks.

? Loss of vacuum ,check your vacuum line to the brake booster,the engine shutoff switch also works by vacuum.

thanks for the heads up lads .spot on.took the pump off and it's in bits inside.am now looking for a new pump that wont cost the earth.thanks again.
