My car is Tealite Blue some time ago I got a paint pin touch up stick from MB by quoting chassis number but it is always a shade darker. It also makes no difference how long it is shaken for. Does anyone have suggestions? Its only used for stone chips but I would like a better colour match.

When using these colour kits the base coat should be OK for the right colour, the problem starts when you try and apply the clear coat, and its best not to use it. To stop the base coat from being too dark, when applying the last coat, just smudge it with your finger after a few seconds, leave it to dry and use T cut to rove the surplus. very hard to do in temp of under 15c

It Is Probably because yor original paint has faded from the original colour. You should maybe purchase the paint in the little bottle with a paint brush and try extracting a couple of drops on a clean plastic tray and add a touch of white or yellow to try to match your current shade. I think Ex-tractorfan is the paint specialist and he may advise of the correct mixing procedure.
I agree with Malcolm that you won't get good results in low temperatures. Best to have a 500 watt globe set up to shine on painted area after application.
It is better to make several thin applications and wait for a couple of hours between each application .
The Quix product will assist to help cut in the new paint .
It is a bastard of a job always and requires great patience and perseverance, otherwise the repair looks worse than the stone chip.
