Tow-bar electrics.

I'm told that there is a fancy OEM tow-bar electric loom that plugs into the cars own loom for the W211 model, but not the W210.

Is that accurate?

Do I have to suffer scotchlocks?

You could try this kit for E320 W210 Saloon / Estate 1996 - 2003

Its still connector type but has the bypass relay. Better for your car.
