Tow Bar Keys Question

Hi everyone. I recently bought a C230 2002 Estate 1 owner with loads of options including a detachable tow bar that's never been used and still sitting in the spare wheel. Trouble is there are no keys with it. I have asked companies on line but they keep asking for a 3 digit number on the lock tumbler, mine doesn't have any. Can anyone help. It's a ORIS 3 star type but effectively at the moment it's a peice of scrap metal. Any help any can give is hugely appreciated.

Its a Mercedes part, have you tried a Mercedes dealership ?

The detachable bar that was on my R Class was a Bosal, that had a key number on the chrome bezel around the lock itself.

Have you tried to fit it? I ask as on the detachable bars I've had, the key could not be removed unless it was fitted to the car.

Yes I tried fitting it but you need the key to push it right up. There are no numbers on the chrome part either.

Its a Mercedes part, have you tried a Mercedes dealership ?

Yes they were not particularly helpful at all. I have now contacted ORIS in Germany and using the serial number placed an order however I am not hopeful of that either as they haven't taken payment yet.
