Tow bar

[merc convert]

I have a 1999 C250TD saloon and need to fit a tow bar but cannot see any holes to bolt to. Anyone got any ideas please!

The main crossbar is normally slung between the two mounting points for the rear bumper, and a spreader bar underneath the boot floor. No experience of the particular model but the design principles are fairly unirversal.
Instructions should be with the towbar. If it's second hand with no instructions, assembling off the car initially should give you an idea, but you may have problems with things like spacers, large washers etc. which may be missing.
Obviously not something to take chances with!
