Tow & Suspension Height

I have a T210 E320CDI on a 2001. I want to fit a tow bar for light towing (small trailer). I would appreciate any advice in the following areas:

1. Where is the cheapest place to buy a tow bar nad does it need to be Merc part.

2. Can i buy them second hand and is this recommended, if so what should I expect to pay.

3. The ride height is lowish with the avantgarde sports suspension. If I fit a tow bar, will it sit lower, or higher (really want it the same as is.

4. I have self levelling suspension, will this make a difference (it is only to tow a jet ski, nothing heavy)

Lots of questions, apologies, but as always appreciate the assistance this forum provides.

No problem with towing on yours, the link above is one of the cheapest around

Genuine MB towbar electrics work with the ESP system & can detect a snaking trailor/caravan. ESP can the apply brakes each side in turn, to counter-effect the swaying & straighten the whole thing up again. Not a lot of people know that but that's where some of the extra cost goes in a genuine towbar. Your choice:-?

As it will only be a light trailer and I drive very carefully when towing, I will go for the cheaper option, though thx for the heads up re MB kit.

Will this affect the ride height of my car or will it be identical except it has a lump of metal hanging off the back ??

Will I need to cut my bumper (seriously hope not!!) ?

Are these things easy to fit, in terms of bolting it on and connecting up the electrics ??

No you do not cut the bumper, and you can get the detachable one, no way will it affect the height or ride

I second that. With self levelling, the whole point is to keep the correct ride height.

slight deviation guys but

does any one know where i can get a key for an mb tow bar.
its one of those round castlated type keys for the barrel lock i don't have any thing at the mo ,so no pattern.
