Towing with a C180

Does any one out there tow with a auto C180 ?
My wife wants us to buy a caravan but I do not want to sell my car, just concerned about the power and overheating of the auto transmission fluid.

The answer to your question depends on whether you're worried about causing snarl ups - or not! The C180 auto is a pretty underpowered machine in the first place, with a caravan on it's really going to struggle. Save yourself and the vehicle a lot of stress - you have two options to keep her indoors happy: go for a trailer tent or change the car.
I have been towing since the 70's and I would strongly suggest nothing less than a 2.2 petrol or diesel for a family caravan and remember that the towed unit should not weigh in at more than 85% of the towing vehicle's weight.
