TPMS Possible Fault W209 CLK

As title suggests. CLK W209 2008 started making loud clicking noise when driven from what appears to be front underside of car both in forward and reverse.

Nothing obvious hanging down, no engine warning lights. Car driving perfectly, as usual, apart from loud clicking.

Noticed when parked that front off side tyre was slightly under inflated. I inflated tyre and have since driven a few miles. Curiously I didn't have to reset TPMS.

Clicking noise now disappeared?

Grateful for any ideas please.

I believe my TPMS may be indirect (measures rotation differences) and doesn't indicate specific tyre.

Could it have been a stone in the tyre or a foreign object hitting the inside of a wheel that is now dislodged ?

TPMS, that measures rotation needs to be reset manually onces the pressures have been correced, it a rudementary system cf to having the computerised valves that report each tyre pressure on the screen

I did think of that but it seems a mighty coincidence that the noise was present pre tyre inflation and gone immediately post tyre inflation?? I also forgot to mention that I called out the breakdown service and the engineer could find nothing wrong.
