Hi guys. Got Vito w447 16 plate. Looking to fit AMG alloys but these have no sensors fitted. Best place to buy new sensors compatible and is it straightforward to just fit new sensors with new tyres??

TPMS sensors are easy to fit, some may need coding to the vehicle (generally by manufacturer). Sensors from dealers generally more expensive, but will just work. Just reset your tyre pressure monitor and drive for a 10 minutes or so.

Most tyre fitting stations will have their own preferred brand which may be cheaper, but just make sure that they're coding equipment is working so that they can code them to your vehicle.

You can fit new sensors to rims with tyres already fitted, without the need to remove the tyre, just by unseating the tyre near the valve location.

Note that there are two types of TPMS sensor valve stem, steel shrouded and bare. The steel shrouded ones are generally suitable for higher speeds than the unshrouded ones (and are the only ones sold by MB).
