ow, also, are all mercs not limited to 155mph?
are S600 also not 4.8 secs to 62.5?

Maybe MB got it all wrong on their web page.

maybe landrover made a version which would be a little cheaper than £93,090.

Sarcasim is the lowest form of wit. I too think they saw you coming. you have been sold a kennel. the car has no service history. the only history you will get is if you HPI it. .probably a right off.CAT C.You must love welding .By the way What Aero do you have if any.

cheers bazza,
i recall it was a v8 also, dont think Ladaover know what kinda car he has himself, but im pretty confident my welding is better than his driving.
but seeing as the merc is my "B" car, would be happy to take on any V8 S,class in my aero. 8)

You can't take it can you .When someone tells you the truth.Wake up you have bought yourself a rust bucket.High mileage, No history ,Mega owners,Write off, Rotten,Hope you are happy with it I bet the previos owner is even happier to get shot of it.What aero do you have.

The amount of welding it was needing was very little, you could compare the size of a few holes to about a 1peeny piece. Maybe im using the correct term for the bodyside mouldings, ive been assured by local merc specialists and compared to other 2.3's of the same year that it is bog standard, i will howver post a pic up if that helps once i get onto my other computer.
You are right howver, it had seen better days when i bought it. Im not sure bout the last owner cutting his losses, as he bought the car reasonably cheaply, done an average of 25k per yr in it, and by the looks of it minimal or no servicing. so basically he ran it into the ground.
I enjoy it already, ive enjoyed the restoration, and its been a great challenge.

merc engineer.
yes i think weldings ok, if i didnt i wouldnt do it. Why wouldnt i have an aero? 9000 aero, upgraded ecu, jet black, 1996 My no, TCS, manual, any other info?

220, what exactly is it i cant take? ive never denied the car needed welding, ive never denied there was some rust under some of the plastic and on the boot floor, ive never denied it was a very rough restoration project, never said it was an immaculate show condition car, is 166k high for a 88 merc? 4 owners, yeah, im reasonably happy, bought with the view to restoring, and thats what im doing, Bazza saw car right at start and wasnt that bad.
Again..9000 aero, upgraded ecu, jet black, 1996 My, no TCS, manual, any other info?

ladaover. now you have acess to three s-classes, Hmmm, so which have you bought? for the whole £93k or so?, plus the mods you must have done to make it circa 4secs? or either that, that ur soo skilled you can manage to get a auto of they are auto that is? 0-60 quicker faster that the MB team, do you mind if i e-mail them and let them know? Why wouldnt i have an aero? if i was gonna make a car up, id probly say an S600 or 3.

190, all cossies had the body moldings. A more subtle version were added to the 'facelifted' 190's in ~1988 to make them appear more modern.

Any what is the problem with someone restoring a 190(of any sort). We are on here cos we are meant to be into mercs, so a cossie being saved from the crusher, or worse, ending up in the hands of someone that would attach a fast and furious bodykit to it should be good news. How's your next door neighbour doin Chris?

Chris,I want to see it when it's finished!

Bazza

PS I was in that lay-by last week, small world.

I have being looking through the forum and think Landover has a problem I think he is lonely or he is trying to draw attention to himself. He doesn?t have good spelling or grammar capabilities he also just stirs things up most of answers are inadequate to the questions asked he also doesn?t have a good reputation on the forum either, the best thing to do would be ignore him and he might go away he must have something about Chris in Edinburgh because he is quite aggressive answering his posts better leaving him alone
I wish we could poll a vote on Landover.
