Had all my wheels off yesterday to give them a really good clean and polish :p also did the arches :p :p
My nearside front wheel had no balance weight on it (the offside had stick on weights so they may have fallen off)

Couple of questions are, although I have had no wheel wobble at all, the car still does pull to the left even after a perfect set up on laser alignment equipment (I know I know that old chestnut ;) )so can a lack of weight make the car pull at all?
Also how much would Merc main dealers charge to balance a wheel with stick on weights?
The car is going in tomorrow for a very small bit of warranty paintwork ( can't wait to see what we get as a courtesy car ;) )

Balance weights do not make the car pull at all. It is no difference to use stick on or hammer on. Just because there are no weights on a wheel, it doesn't mean they have fallen off. It may be in perfect balance without them.

Find a quiet local road with a decent camber on it, and drive on the wrong side. You'll find your car will pull to the right.

Drive on the crest, and it will drive straight.

Drive on the left, it'll pull left.

All quite normal.

Thanks, didn't think it would make it pull, as I have no wobble should I leave well alone?

as Type49 silly thing with weights, on my 129 SL I took then off as they looked horrible and had no balance problems, I have also taken them off the 600 wheels on my New SL and no problems. Some other folk cant their wheels balanced at all
