Good eveningi have yesterday attempted to change the lower steering column on my Vito 111cdi,because of uj failure.
Having already squired a good used one ,painted ready
The old one came out with ease,
The good wife was holding the steering central.
But could not feed the other one on,
Investigated the problem,
Found out that the plastic spline on the replacement part,the spline was different,
So ended up putting the old one back for now
Have ordered a comparable one,on the way
Anyway the problem I have now is theTRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON.
MY WIFE DID SAY THAT WHILE I WAS UNDER THE VAN TRYING TO FEED THE SHAFT IN ,THE INSTUMENT LIGHTS FLASHED AND DOORS LOCKED.
AAAGH THEN I REALISED I DID NOT DISCONNECT THE BATTERYANY IDEAS HOW I COULD SORT THIS OUT?
