I had occasion to travel on a train to Glasgow the other day. The train was a Stirling to Glasgow job and I was boarding at Stirling so the train was sitting at platform 10 for a while.
A group of loud americans boarded the train and sat a few seats away. A GNER train rolled into platform 2. The engine at the back was named 'The Black Dyke Band', which seemed to amuse the colonials, I can't think why.
