2015 C220 coupe amg sport edition
Hi guys I’m new here so I’m not sure if this question has already been asked or if I have it in the correct section.

I have a 2015 c220D coupe amg sport edition auto on 45k, when I bought the car it was on 29k and the Mercedes dealership told me it had just had a major b service with a transmission service. It’s due another service now and Iv been quoted £958 from Mercedes £300 odd of that is down to another transmission service.
My question is is it necessary to have this done every service as I was under the impression it was to be done at 40k intervals?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello and welcome

Do you have paperwork to back up that it has had an ATF change? If so it won’t need doing again until ~80K miles.

What I wouldn’t be doing it going to MB for a service, we’ve some most excellent Mercedes Independent Specialists who can Service for much less than MB - still update the digital service record and actually care about your car.
Post up your location and we can recommend a good indie.

2015, surely that’s a 7g+ and it’s 5yrs or 70K whichever comes first. So another 5yrs at that mileage.

just tell MB you don’t want the transmission done as it as recently changed - it’s your car, they can’t force you to have it done again.

blobcat,
Yeh I think I have the paper work in the house i will need to double check when I get home from work. Yeh that would be fantastic I’m up in Dundee Scotland and don’t mind traveling. Mb prices do seem a bit steep for the work there actually doing, Thanks for your help.

mark,
That’s right it’s a 7g I wasn’t sure on frequency’s just assumed it would be 40k 70k does seem a bit more sensible thought, thanks very much.
