Hi All,
Got in the mighty panza for the trip home last night and found myself stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear. The tip gear change was not functional, staying in D when nudged. When I got home I switched off, then restarted - you guessed it the fault has cleared. (Didn't try it earlier as I was worried it would die altogether.)

I'm guessing another electronic problem? Any thoughts appreciated - thanks in advance!

Cheers,
David.

Quite a few of us have had this problem. Stuck in second and max 40mpy or thereabouts. There is some evidence linking it to an ageing battery which causes a voltage drop, so if the battery is anyway old have a look at that first. This may well clear it up.

After that there is another issue, it may persist and get worse. to get from drive to park required stopping engine and moving to neutral between drive and park and then restarting. I ended up replacing one component, total cost was about €300.
