If you could post your question directly rather than linking to a request elsewhere it would be appreciated…;)

Tut tut... you should be using this forum as your primary home... not that other one  you'll get much more interesting and humorous responses here I promise :D

Anyway, I share your frustration, as I loath aluminum dash trims. If you want new trims I can only suggest the main deal if you want new; but I bet it will cost a fortune. The other places you can look would be Ebay, or car breakers.

An alternative might be having the Aluminium ones Hydrodipped.

Years ago someone on a Jaguar forum had his Aluminium trims Hydrodipped to a wood finish on a Jaguar XK series, and he was really pleased with them. You could also then pick your own custom wood colour shade.

Looking on google I found these:

But there are lots of other companies if you google "Hydrodipping", and I'd suggest getting a few quotes from them.

If you cannot remove and refit the trim yourself, I would suggest asking your Mercedes specialist garage to do it - or a handy friend ;)

The metallic dash of my B200 reflects light when the sunroof is open and it's annoying - quite apart from a matt wood finish looking far better.
So I ordered a sheet of peel and stick wood veneer from The Wood Veneer Hub (they have a website) and I'll try to make a template then directly stick the veneer on (I hope.)

Thanks for those links. I did a Google search and found one not far away from me so after the Bank Holiday I'll take the car there to get some price's
