Does anyone have experience of repair / touch up to the 'painted' plastic interor parts of the car, i.e. door handles, centre console glovebox.
The finish is a light grey colour but the black plastic underneath is showing through in areas of wear / damage.
I had a 'Chips away' guy have a go but the colour / finish is nothing like. :x

I don't think that the original finish is "painted". The parts aare hard-plastic underneath, covered with a thin coloured vinyl layer. There are some repair kits available from halfords, which include liquid vinyl based material with colours to mix an match, but the results may not be better than what you've experienced. You may not get the exact texture, but if you can match the colour accurately, it should be hard to notice. You will need some time and patience to mix base colour samples and prepare swatches to compare when dried.

Cheers, Arnie. I'll be stopping at Halfords on the way home.
