Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum but have loads of questions regarding a project that I have had laid up for 12 months that I am about to start on.

It’s a 1967 280SE, it was last used in a film in 1999 as a 'mirror car' where they 'shot' it 28 times. As it was a mirror car it has been painted and changed from its original spec to match the perfect example they didn’t want to destroy.

I intend to restore the car back to its original specification as its only done 28k miles.

Question...
I need to somehow find out what the original colour of the interior is?

This is hard as the seats were painted from brown to black, the roof liner is white, I have 2 sets of door cards and don’t know if either is the original (one brown set one white set but now both have been painted black) the carpets appear to be brown that were painted black.

Is anyone aware of the colour schemes offered for the interior? i.e. if the roof liner and door cards were white was it standard to have brown carpets and brown seats?

Try your local dealer,if they have a scrap of humanity they should be able to find out for you (especially if you're restoring it & will probably need to buy parts for it).

I've personally never seen one with white door cards (could be wrong) & would guess that they were not original.
