I'm hoping to find the part listed below for less than the £1,100+ quoted by my MB main dealer.

I have to say that I'm often happy to buy a MB part, at a premium, but, £1,100+ for a moulded plastic part that, at most, costs about £50, is a bit too steep for my pocket.

I'd hoped that it would be below about £300 . . . . . .shows what I know!

If anyone can help, I'd be eternally grateful

MB part number; A 230 690 09 41

Restrictions code; 00A/200A/281A/287A/288A

Black leather: Left

Thanks in advance

Omg, these used to be £360. If you have the flap, they can be reattached.

I have the flap and the long 'hinge' pin, but, the plastic mounts on the panel, that hold the pin in place are all broken.
I've tried to fix it, in situ, but to no avail.
I guess I could take it out and try a more sophisticated fix on the bench and may still have to.

I bought a reconditioned Ford 1600GT crossflowed engine from a company called Star (Engineering I think) in Reading, a lot of years ago, about 1975. Any connection?

A US dealer

Yes, got those covered . . . .thanks
The black ones all seem to be double the price of any other colour
Even so, the black ones are less than 2/3rds the cost of one sourced in the UK, so this may be my 2nd option.
1st option is to remove and try to fix, if I have to. There's a useful fix on MB World;

Giving auction sites a try as well, so, fingers crossed

Hi good morning. Did you ever get your hinge flap repaired, as mine is on the motorway somewhere.
