Turbo stops working

Hi back again with another problem with my 2005 270clk .its a lovely car we have had it 2 1/2 years with only a few glitches.
She's done 165k so do expect a few problems and thanks to everyone that gives me info to help keep the old girl running.
My latest glitch is she will run as she should and suddenly no turbo sometimes ELM comes on sometimes not .The usual time it happens is on fast run or steep hill but not every time. My local garage put it on their diagnostics and came up with low rail pressure ,they replaced fuel filter and she ran beautifully for 2 weeks and the it happened again . 4 starts and once again back to the well behaved car. Not had it on star as nearest specialist is 15 mile away and local garage has always been great with car and sensible price.If anyone has some idea would be appreciated.

What code is causing the EML to come on?

Hi thanks for reply there are two stores numbers P1187-32 rail pressure monitoring control variation & P1189-16 m55 inlet port shut off motor positioned signal fault message through ground keying . Motor on inlet manifold is working as are flaps ,had motor replaced October 19

Could be high leak off from a failing injector, or a fault with the quantity control valve.

The inlet port code will also cause limp mode. Check the wiring to the motor if you are 100% sure the motor is working properly.

Will putting it on star be more specific ,I think my local garage has a snap on set up, .the bizarre thing it runs and performs well 95 % of the time .the garage has reported a slight leak on injector seal which it will be booked in for next week .
There is no EML light on now at all but last night turbo stopped kicking in way home this morning on a rapid trip to work and home turbo fine 45mile round trip same route.

Both have specific tests so should be easy to narrow down. Rail pressure can be measured whilst driving. Whichever code is current and stored will be the one kicking into limp mode.

Thanks for your help will talk to my garage next week ,it is owned by a friend so he wont be offended that I asked outside help just hope it can be resolved at reasonable cost as hoping to have new inlet manifold fitted when doing injector seal and 5 new glow plugs. .any recommendations on manifold as prices seem to vary wildly from £300 main dealer to £100 ebay ..Trying to get it back up together and sort the known problems out at a reasonable cost.Used to do work myself but getting too old for grovelling under cars now lol
