I am sure that I am being really stupid with this one, but could someone tell me how to turn off the TP option on my 2001 S320 Command.

I seem to get traffic news for every town in the North on the way to work each morning and more important keep missing Terry :(

Thanks in advance

Mark.

Hi Mark, go into the FM 1 Settings and on the screen you can turn off the Radio Data system (remove the tick)

For the TP messages, don't you need to hold the mute button down until you hear a "bip". And the same to turn it back "On"

Yes you are right you can do it on the mute (loudspeaker symbol) press once to mute and again holding for more than 2sec to turn on, my answer in the first thread was to permanent turn off.

Thank you gentlemen,

The settings method seems to need me to go through every station, whilst the mute button seems to be global, although I dont get a beep, just the colour of the TP display changes. I will have to see what happens in the morning.

Incidentally by the wonders of wireless I am sitting in the car which is in the garage, typing on my new (to me) 12 inch laptop, using remote desktop to the house server. Looks like next time I am in the dog house with MrsC I can hide in the garage and still surf :)

On a related subject, can anyone suggest a reasonably priced 3G data package?

Just hold the Volume control in (it does work)

Just building a garage with a wired connection in the back of it :)

Seperate working area usually means I can seperate the PC's from the house.

Yeah......means I'm left alone :)

Vodafone 200+ICS works here :) lots of European calls, costs me a lot less than it used to. Have a word with your Service Provider?
