My 220CDI (63,000 miles) is a little twitchy-unstable-on the corners particularly in the wet. Fine when dry.

In the wet I need to be careful!

Is this a general rear wheel drive issue or could there be bush/suspension problems?

Regards

Assumming your not too heavy footed I would try checking the following:

1) Tyre pressures (too high a pressure)
2) Type of tyre and condition (some tyres are not rated very well in the wet)
3) Worn front and rear anti-roll bar bushes (can cause excessive body roll)
.

If the above basic checks fail to solve the problem its probably time (especially at this time of year) to have the car checked out.

The classic suspension and spring ratings are probably similar to the elegance model and therefore set up more for comfort than performance. Lowering the car by 25mm can make a big difference by fitting sportier springs

Hope this helps!
