Try to avoid using it as it ruins the tyre and if it is repairable then a total waste

Not true J Bell.
The tyre is repairable afterwards but most tyre shops won't because it's easier and more profitable to have customers buy new ones. I've had gooped tyre repaired in the past without issues (though I did learn a few swear words from the tyre fitter). The other reason they don't like goop is because some are carcinogenic and the remaining goop needs to be emptied out and disposed of correctly (and getting all of it out is a dirty job).

I’ve use Tyreweld a few times and it’s been very good at getting me home. Didn’t have the tyre repaired as the damage wasn’t in a repairable position.

These days my first choice is goop, followed by a tyre repair kit (under £10 on Amazon) then if all else fails put the spare on.

I’ve quite a few cans of tyreweld so keep a couple in each car. Just in case.
