The time has come for some new rubber on the rear, so I'm looking for some justified recommendations if anyone's got some.

Currently riding on Dunlop SP Sport 9000 , and the same on the front actually.

Size Rear: 265/R18/40 97Y
Size Front: 245/ZR18/45 96Y

Any suggestions...?

Any preferred sources for local or mobile fitting (Kent/Surrey border)...?

You may want to give these people a try?

http://www.blackcircles.com/

I've used them before as they have a depot close to me (not really a depot, more a franchise type thing)

£195.86 for you rears (265/40 R18 Y) same make.

Matter of interest....are they an unusual size? Reason for asking is that my rears (265/35 R18 Z) are over £40.00 cheaper.

cheers.

Yeah as far as I'm aware the rims are standard sizes, being Mercedes 18" hollow spoke as described in the brochure.

had falken on before, then went back to sp9000
they are very quiet in comparison, not such a hard compound.

make sure when you get your tyres done, the tyre place uses adhesive wheel weight to balance, and doesnt hammer on the standard weights unless you want marks on your wheels

Also go for tyres with the rim protector,
