Sorry for another tyre topic but Ive gone back a few pages in this area with no joy...
When I bought my current car (a 56 reg C-Class 220 Avantgarde - are these known on here as a W203 ??) the alloys had scuff marks and they offered to fix them but it would take a day or two. As this was inconvenient to me, I suggested they could swap wheels with another car and that is what they did.
I then ended up with 245 wide tyres (245 40 R17 91W) on the back and 225 tyres ( 225 45 R17 91W) on the front.
When I was there a guy was complaining that the wrong tyres were on his car and he was asking them to look at that and resolve the issue - so now I have a seed of doubt in my mind about the dealer....
So is the combination of 245 wides on the back and 225 wides on the front normal ? - legal ? - present any issues ?
Thanks in advance
